We will practice graphing and working with word problems to write equations.
Once you have finished the sheet from class, please begin work on Inv. 3.2:
For math today we will be looking further at related equations and how to connect them.
We will also look into the relationship between area and profit when running a business.
In addition to the questions on the document please consider the following questions:
Do you agree with the results recorded in the graph?
If not what would you change?
Is it important assign values (numbers) to the axis'? Why or why not?
Once you have had a chance to analyze the sample graph, you and your group members will create a similar graph based on subject of your choosing.
The requirements for you graph are:
Must have 4 quadrants
Must be properly labelled
Negative and positive values should be related
Need at least 10 distinct coordinate points (emojis, activities, etc)
Be neat and organized

Today for math we will be completing a fun exercise together as a class as a way to warm our math brains back up.
We will also look at what it means to have a growth mindset in math and explore our own mindsets.
Wednesday March 22nd
For math today we will be reviewing: how to find a parabola's vertex, how to find it's x intercepts, and looking at patterns of quadratic tables.
After the warm up, please complete investigation 4.3:
We will then look at finding x-intercepts together and match some functions to their correct graph.

Today in math we will be reviewing how to put a quadratic function in factor form as well as how to find the vertex and y-intercept.
We will then move on to looking at how to find the x-intercepts of a graphed quadratic function (parabola).
